The COVID-19 pandemic has been a new and challenging experience for us all. Our goal as elders has always been to ensure we are fulfilling the will of our Father and encouraging the body to faithfulness (Eph. 4:11-16). We also understand that gathering together for worship is the desire of all Northside members. We commend you for this attitude.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we did our best to follow the guidelines provided by our Governor, adhering to God’s instructions in Romans 13 and 1Peter 2:13-17. At the same time, we were seeking to follow Hebrews 10:25,
not forsaking the assembly. To accomplish both commands, we instituted live streaming on Facebook so that we might assemble in some manner.
Currently, Arizona is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases, ranking eighth in the US in the total number of cases. Due to these increases, the elders have determined to return to our initial plan for weekly attendance.
The Northside building will remain open to those who wish to attend. As a matter of precaution, the elders are suggesting members continue to worship with us via our live feed on Facebook and remain home. We understand this is not what we all want, but we believe it is best due to our current situation.
